The Malagueños (residents of Malaga) are quite fond of their coffees. And that shows.
Here in Malaga, you can order your coffee in different ways. Therefore, in this blog we would like to tell you more about this so that you can order the right coffee for yourself when you are here in Malaga. In fact, the coffees are divided into 9 different coffees. The amount of milk added to the coffee determines which coffee you should order.
How come the coffees are divided into 9 different coffees?
In 1954, José Prado Crespo came up with these names for these different coffees. He was then the owner of a café in Malaga where a lot of coffee was ordered. Each guest had his own wish regarding how much milk was desired in his or her coffee. Whereupon he thought of subdividing the coffees so that it was immediately clear which coffee was wanted. And so it would also be a lot easier for him. This worked out successfully and to this day, people here use these names to order. You will also often see a picture of the different coffees hanging in a coffee shop. Like here in our picture. Just be aware, once you are outside Malaga, the names we use for the coffees here may not be familiar.
We have listed the coffees for you below. Thank me later ;)!
