Malaga is Andalusia’s second-largest city and Spain’s sixth-largest. It is located in southern Spain on the Costa del Sol. The city has many attractions and it contains a lot of history. Therefore, there are many different options to discover Malaga on different types of tours. So what are the best ways to explore the city with a guide?

1. Bike tour

In Malaga, the weather is almost always good and therefore you can enjoy cycling around the city all year round. Because of this, a fun activity to do in Malaga is thus a bicycle tour of the city. You cycle past many of the city’s sights and Malaga is also mostly flat, so you don’t have to put in too much effort. If you do want to cycle to the top of the beautiful viewpoint, opt for the E-Bike Tour.

You do this bike tour with a small group or if you are with a large group, with your own group. The tours last about 3 hours so it is a fun activity to do without taking up your whole day. Definitely highly recommended!

2. Segway tour

If you plan to tour the city, what could be more fun than doing so on a segway! Within 5 minutes, the guide will teach you how to operate the segway like an expert and you will ride around the city in a small group for 2 hours to see sights.

It is super convenient as you do not have to walk for a long time and you do a fun activity at the same time. You ride about 10km in the 2-hour tour and thus see a lot of the city. In addition, you can also opt for the segway tour to the viewpoint. With this option, you do not see the further sights and have seen the beautiful views from Gibralfaro in 1 hour without effort.

3. Free walking tour

If you still prefer to walk around the city but don’t really know where to go, there are free walking tours. You will see all the quaint streets and beautiful sights up close and at a leisurely pace. Moreover, the guides can explain everything about the places you visit or pass by, so you also learn a lot about the city.

This tour lasts 1 hour and 45 minutes. So it’s very nice if you don’t want to spend a lot of money on a tour or prefer not to have a tour that lasts too long. The tour itself is free and at the end of the tour, you decide how much tip the guide has earned from giving his tour and thus what the tour is worth.

You can sign up via Explora Malaga, or look for the guide with blue umbrella in Plaza de la Constitución.

4. Hop-on Hop-off bus tour

The Hop-on Hop-off bus tour is a tour that is very well known. You buy a ticket and then you can hop on and off at any stop on the route throughout the day. The bus passes by sights in the city where you can get off and go see it. As soon as you want to move on to another place, you can wait for the next bus and get back on it.

This tour is very convenient if you want to go from place to place at your own pace. If you don’t get off, there is audio commentary on the bus so you hear information about the city.

Tickets to board at any stop can be bought from Worldwide City Sightseeing.
